A magical March in the Makgadikgadi
Ralph Bousfield’s annual Guide Training programme provides Uncharted Africa Safari co.’s Guides with the opportunity to explore in detail the intricacies and adaptations that make the Kalahari one of the most fascinating and productive deserts on earth. The enthusiastic new recruits spend hours in the field with Ralph, Guest Researchers and the more experienced Jack’s Camp Guides such as Super Sande, who has been working with Ralph for twenty years, and is an expert on the Makgadikgadi. It was Super who found the remains of an unfortunate aardvark, and the Guides were obviously excited be able to examine this elusive animal at such close quarters... 6 April 2010

Letter form Jack's and San Camp: August - October 2009 It has been an above average wet season in the Makgadikgadi. With a cloudburst of late rains, we received 185mm in just 48 hours. This is incredible when one considers that three years ago, Jack’s Camp received a rainfall of just 168mm over a twelve month period. 26 November 2009
